Play Fair • Respect Others • Enjoy the Game
All clients booking the padel courts must agree to these terms and conditions prior to using the facility.
Our aim is to provide a safe, enjoyable and fair experience for everyone. By booking or using our padel courts, all players agree to follow these terms and conditions.
1. Player Behaviour
All players and visitors are expected to behave respectfully and responsibly at all times.
Please:
- Treat fellow players, visitors and staff with respect.
- Play fairly and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
- Follow the official Rules of Padel.
- Use appropriate and respectful language.
- Respect players of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
- Report any injury, accident, damage or safety concern immediately.
- Treat all courts, equipment and facilities with care.
The following behaviour is not permitted:
- Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or offensive language or behaviour.
- Aggressive physical contact, intimidation, bullying or harassment.
- Throwing, smashing or deliberately damaging rackets, balls or other equipment.
- Excessive noise or unnecessary disturbance to other court users.
- Smoking or vaping on the courts or in prohibited areas.
- Alcohol or non-permitted substances on the courts.
- Food of any kind on the courts.
- Entering or remaining on a court without a valid booking or permission.
- More than 4 players on a court during normal play unless authorised by management.
2. Court Etiquette
Respect Your Booking Time
- Please arrive in good time for your booking.
- Your playing time begins and ends at the times shown on your booking.
- Please leave the court promptly at the end of your session to allow the next players to start on time.
- Do not enter the court before your booked time if another session is in progress.
- Only use the court allocated to your booking.
Respect Other Players
- Keep noise levels to a reasonable level.
- Do not interrupt or interfere with play on neighbouring courts.
- Do not enter another court while play is in progress unless it is safe and necessary.
- Wait for an appropriate break in play before retrieving a ball from another court.
- Do not disturb other players during their session.
- Spectators and non-playing guests must remain outside the playing area unless authorised.
Keep the Courts Clean
- Take all rubbish, bottles and personal belongings with you when leaving.
- Do not leave clothing, towels, balls or equipment on the court.
- Food should not be consumed anywhere on the playing surface.
- Glass bottles or glass containers are not permitted on court.
3. Fair Use & Booking Policy
Each booking session is for a duration of one hour.
To ensure fair and equal access to the courts for all players, a Fair Use Policy applies to all bookings.
Maximum Daily Court Time
A maximum of 2 hours of court time per day applies to each player.
This includes:
- Separate bookings made throughout the day.
- Consecutive bookings.
- Bookings made by another person on behalf of that player.
- Bookings made using multiple accounts.
Players must not attempt to circumvent the Fair Use Policy by asking another person to make a booking on their behalf.
Booking Responsibility and Rules
- Bookings must be made honestly and for the genuine players intending to use the court.
- The person making the booking is responsible for the conduct of all players and guests included in that booking.
- Bookings may not be resold, transferred for profit or used for unauthorised commercial purposes.
- False, misleading or duplicate bookings are not permitted.
- Repeated no-shows, late cancellations or misuse of the booking system may result in restricted or suspended booking privileges.
- Group Leader must check in at reception before commencing to the facility.
- Payment must be made before session commences.
- The Group Leader is responsible for the conduct of his/her members or players and must ensure proper use of the facility by the group.
- Cancellations can only be accepted by e-mailing the centre, no later than 24 hours before the booked activity: [email protected]
- dlr Leisure cannot be held liable for loss or damage of valuables during the use of the facilities or during the time prior or after the use of the facility. Use lockers provided.
- dlr Leisure can cancel your booking due to special events.
Our Fair Use Policy is designed to ensure that all members and customers have a fair opportunity to access and enjoy the courts.
4. Cancellations
- Cancellations can only be accepted by e-mailing the centre, no later than 24 hours before the booked activity: [email protected]
- Repeated no-shows, late cancellations or misuse of the booking system may result in restricted or suspended booking privileges.
5. Casual Play Only – No Unauthorised Coaching
Our courts are intended for casual recreational play only.
Private coaching, commercial coaching and organised instruction are not permitted unless specifically authorised in advance by management.
The following activities are not permitted without prior written approval:
- Private paid coaching sessions.
- Private unpaid coaching sessions.
- One-to-one lessons or instruction.
- Group coaching sessions.
- Commercial coaching or training.
- Organised coaching clinics or camps.
- Structured training sessions delivered by a coach or instructor.
- Using a casual court booking to provide lessons or instruction.
- Booking a court on behalf of a coach or instructor for the purpose of delivering coaching.
- Advertising, promoting or operating coaching services from the facility without authorisation.
All organised Club bookings, coaching, instruction, clinics, camps or structured training sessions require prior written approval from management.
Unauthorised coaching may result in the session being stopped immediately and booking privileges being suspended or withdrawn.
6. Appropriate Footwear & Attire
Required Footwear
Appropriate sports footwear must be worn at all times.
- Padel shoes.
- Tennis or court shoes.
- Suitable sports trainers with appropriate grip and support.
The following are not permitted:
- Heavy boots or work shoes.
- Shoes likely to damage the court surface.
- Bare feet.
- Sandals, sliders or flip-flops.
Appropriate Attire
Players must wear suitable sports or athletic clothing.
Clothing must:
- Allow safe and unrestricted movement.
- Be appropriate for a shared sporting environment.
- Not contain sharp or dangerous objects that could injure others or damage the court.
The following are not permitted:
- Clothing that restricts safe movement.
- Clothing containing sharp or potentially dangerous accessories.
- Beachwear or inappropriate clothing.
Management reserves the right to refuse court access where footwear or clothing is considered unsafe or unsuitable.
7. Equipment & Court Care
Please help us keep our courts and equipment in excellent condition.
- Use all equipment for its intended purpose only.
- Do not climb, hang from or deliberately strike the court structure, fencing, glass or nets.
- Do not pull, lean heavily on or misuse the net.
- Do not move court equipment without permission.
- Report any damage immediately to staff or management.
- Players may be held responsible for deliberate or negligent damage caused to facilities or equipment.
- If a club booking has been authorised with management the club must produce documentation that they have their own insurance cover. If it is a youth club, all adults involved with your club must have completed Garda vetting.
- Rental equipment must be returned at the end of the booking in the same condition in which it was provided, allowing for normal wear and tear.
8. Health & Safety
Players participate at their own risk and should ensure they are physically fit to play.
Please:
- Warm up appropriately before playing.
- Stop playing if you feel unwell or injured.
- Report accidents and injuries immediately where possible.
- Follow all emergency procedures and staff instructions.
- Do not use the court in a manner that could endanger yourself or others.
- Keep emergency exits and access areas clear at all times.
In an emergency, follow staff instructions immediately.
9. Staff & Management Authority
Staff and management are responsible for maintaining a safe, fair and enjoyable environment for all users.
Management reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry to the facility.
- Stop a session where behaviour is unsafe or inappropriate.
- Ask individuals to leave the premises.
- Cancel or amend bookings where these rules have been breached.
- Restrict or suspend booking privileges.
- Permanently remove booking privileges in cases of serious or repeated misconduct.
Breaches of These Rules
Failure to comply with these rules may result in:
- A verbal or written warning.
- Temporary suspension of booking privileges.
- Permanent removal of booking privileges for serious or repeated breaches.
Serious misconduct, deliberate damage, abuse of staff or other users, unsafe behaviour, or repeated breaches may result in immediate removal from the facility without prior warning.
Management's decision regarding breaches of these rules and facility access will be final.
